| Description: | We are looking for a highly motivated Clinical Psychologist who would like to take an active part in the development of our service. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with clients whose difficulties are complex and challenging, using their abilities, experience and qualities in flexible and creative ways when working with clients and teams. The Cambian Group provides a complete care pathway of services which includes low secure, locked intensive recovery and step down hospitals, to men and women with learning disabilities, alongside mental health and personality problems, and behaviour (including offending) which presents challenges for mainstream services. The appointed psychologist will be based at St Paul's Hospital, Colchester, which has 67 beds over seven units. Psychology is highly valued within the service, and embedded within a multi-disciplinary approach. Post-holders will be fully involved in the development, delivery and evaluation of a range of therapeutic assessments and formulation-led interventions: individual, group, direct, indirect and consultancy. There will also be opportunities for joint professional work, and involvement in support, supervision and training, and we actively support innovation and research. The successful applicant can look forward to receiving good support and supervision, to developing their role, and playing a vital part in the evolution of the psychology team.
