| Description: | Research/Academic Lead (Deputy Course Director) (0.6fte) Doctorate in Clinical Psychology School of Health and Human Sciences The course, which has a pluralistic and integrative philosophy, is seeking a well-qualified Clinical Psychologist to take a lead in research and curriculum development in our Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology. Applications are invited from research active Clinical Psychologists with a solid research profile. The postholder will take overall lead for the research and academic development of the programme, in keeping with national training initiatives (e.g. IAPT and NWW), and University, BPS and HPC regulatory requirements. A proven commitment to Clinical Psychology training; an enjoyment of working with trainees and an interest in integrating the different aspects of the training (clinical, research, theoretical and personal development) are needed. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop the research profile of the Department and integrate with research in the wider School and Faculty. The Doctorate in Clinical Psychology was established at the University of Essex in 2005 in conjunction with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. It is a programme that is commissioned by the East of England NHS for 10 places annually with placements throughout the county of Essex. The programme has established links with local NHS trusts. The postholder will also be an Honorary Lecturer at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.
