| Description: | Primary Care Business Unit, Pfizer, Sandwich, UK Pfizer wishes to offer advanced post-graduate psychology students an opportunity for a 12 month placement in its Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) Centre of Excellence based at its R&D headquarters in Sandwich, Kent, UK. Pfizer’s PRO Centre of Excellence, Primary Care Business Unit examines the value of our medicines from the patient perspective by providing strategic oversight for the development and validation of PROs, implementation of relevant PROs in clinical trials and dissemination of resulting PRO data. This position provides a unique research and education experience for someone who might be interested in applying their health psychology training in the pharmaceutical industry. It is expected that the research assistant will work under supervision on discrete projects, which allows them to take ownership of this work. They will have opportunities to interact with colleagues within Clinical, Statistics, Health Economics/Outcomes Research, Marketing and other relevant internal groups. There could also be opportunities for contacts with External Vendors and Experts. Requirements Conditions Remuneration £25-30,000 Proposed topics for 2009 Placement It is possible that the content of the work placement might change on the basis of future research priorities. Currently it is envisage that the candidate will work on a number of research areas.
