| Description: | Assistant Psychologist Salary up to £19,000 pa inclusive depending on experience 37.5 hours (12 month contract) South East – Farmfield Hospital (RH6 0BN), Nr Gatwick and Sturt Grange (KT20 7RQ) Farmfield Hospital is a 52 bedded independent, purpose built hospital situated near Gatwick Airport. The service provides care and rehabilitation to a diverse group of male patients with complex forensic histories. Our sister hospital Sturt House Grange is situated nearby and provides a 20 bedded step-down facility. Both hospitals are part of the Priory Secure Services group. If so then this maybe the role for you! We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychology graduate to work within the department of Psychological Services. The post would be appropriate for a good Honours Psychology graduate hoping to apply for further postgraduate training, and will offer the right candidate the opportunity and support to further their interests and develop skills in many different areas. In line with BPS guidelines, the post will be on a 12 month fixed-term contract basis with the option to renew for a further 12 months. Under the supervision of a Chartered Psychologist, the post-holder will be involved in the full range of departmental activities, including: assisting qualified Psychologists in delivering interventions with individuals or groups; assessment of individuals or groups, e.g., direct observation, formal psychometric assessments and semi-structured interview; and literature searches, collating patient histories, information leaflets, and writing reports as appropriate. Applicants should meet the criteria for Graduate Basis For Registration (GBR) with the British Psychological Society. Previous clinical experience would also be an advantage, but is not essential.
