| Description: | Bexley Directorate Head of Older Adult Psychology Services Consultant Clinical Psychologist Band 8c £57,512 - £69,913 per annum, full-time Oxleas Mental Health Foundation Trust is an innovative and successful mental health and learning disability Trust providing services in the South East London Boroughs of Greenwich, Bexley and Bromley. We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with considerable experience to help shape the future direction of psychological therapy services for Older Adults in Bexley. You would be professionally responsible for a team which includes two Clinical Psychologists with administrative support and bids in place for expansion. You would also be a key member of the Bexley management team, which is currently involved in a number of exciting psychological therapy initiatives, including the development of group initiatives, the establishment of a psychological therapy steering group and local implementation of the National Dementia strategy. Oxleas has a large, well-established and supportive Psychology department which is part of the Psychological Therapies Directorate within the Trust. This provides strong leadership and professional management, and supports staff by prioritising supervision and continuing professional development. The department contains Clinical Psychologists with extensive training and experience in cognitive, psycho-dynamic and systemic approaches. Service related research is encouraged and supported by providing protected time for these activities. There are strong links with the South Thames (Salomons) Clinical Psychology Training Scheme. There are good working relationships with both managers and other senior clinicians and psychological therapy is well represented at senior managerial and clinical levels. The Head of Psychology is also the Director of Psychological Therapies and a member of the executive team for the Trust. The input from psychologists is valued within the Trust and we undertake important roles, not only in clinical work, but also management, service development and clinical governance.
