Clinical Psychologist x2 12 months fixed-term contract (Ref: 363-FR-5037) Full-time, permanent contract (Ref: 363-FR-5059) Band 7, £37,039.80 - £46,646 inclusive per annum We are looking for two clinical/counselling psychologists (one permanent, one 12 months fixed-term) to join our thriving psychology service, which is based within a medium secure forensic service. You will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing individual assessments and treatments to inpatients with complex mental health problems as well as providing consultation to a community liaison service. You will contribute to our unit-wide group programme, including work focusing on sexual offending, substance misuse and psychosis. The department comprises twenty psychologists and five arts therapists. Individual and group supervision, and an in-house academic programme are available and CPD is actively encouraged and supported. You will have opportunities to participate in teaching and training, and to join various working groups and committees within the service. We have good links with the clinical training courses in the North Thames region and we provide teaching and clinical placements to doctoral trainees. There are opportunities to develop specialist and research interests. You should be available to take up post from spring/summer 2010. Previous forensic experience will be an advantage but recently qualified psychologists may apply at Band 7. You should be HPC registered.
