| Description: | Ailsa Hospital, Ayr Consultant Psychologist Band 8c: £53,256 - £65,657 pa 37.5 hours per week As part of the Forensic Mental Health Service, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of a Psychological Input to Forensic Mental Health Services, involving both Community and Inpatient work and with close links to both National and Regional Forensic Mental Health Services. You will be a full member of the Forensic multi-disciplinary team and will receive day to day co-ordination of work facilitated by the Forensic Team Leader, enhancing the psychological skills of the Team as well as providing direct psychological assessment and treatment to people of Ayrshire and Arran who have psychological disorders in the presence of forensic issues. You will plan, implement, deliver and evaluate the above service to ensure that the service is of a high standard, is equitable and takes into account issues of public protections. The post will be managed and professionally led from within Consulting and Clinical Psychology Services which provides an area-wide psychological service, providing specialist supervision arranged via the Forensic Network which operates across Health Boards. The service places a strong emphasis on governance, CPD and provides opportunities for further training with a number of internal special interest and current working groups. A post graduate qualification in Clinical Psychology with substantial experience working in Forensic Clinical Psychology or Clinical Psychology with an interest in Forensic Psychology is essential.
