| Description: | Improving Access to Psychological Therapies IAPT High Intensity Therapists Starting Salary £29,789 - £39,273 (equivalent to NHS band 7 to 8a) Rightsteps is a flagship pilot service developed by Turning Point that will offer new and innovative ways to deliver an integrated, holistic psychological wellbeing service across the UK. We’ll be working in conjunction with a number of PCTs across the nation to ensure that it reaches its full potential. Now we’re looking for you to play your part too. Your focus will be to provide supervision across the service, delivering high intensity one-to-one interventions to clients. These key roles will see you designing, shaping and implementing the service, giving you considerable responsibility for ensuring that national Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) guidelines are met and that targets are achieved. Ultimately, you will pull out all the stops to make sure that the needs of vulnerable individuals in the area are addressed in the best possible way. Ideally, you will have completed a High Intensity IAPT Postgraduate Diploma. However, you may have a doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology, or you may even come from a nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or psychological therapy background. What’s certain is that you will have relevant training to, at least, postgraduate diploma level and significant post-qualification experience as a psychological therapy practitioner. Also essential is the need to demonstrate competencies that would ensure you are BABCP accreditable.
