Title: Mental Health Case Manager
Employer: Ingeus
Description: Mental Health Case Manager

Salary: £25,000 - £27,350pa
Locations: Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley (car beneficial)
Contract: Fixed term (variable) – probation period applies
Closing date: Sunday 14th February 2010

Do you want to see the effects of your work and assist with tackling the negative effects of long-term unemployment?

Do you want the autonomy to manage your own caseload and practice?

Do you want to work for a ground-breaking organisation that is leading the field in health and employment provision?

It is estimated that the annual economic cost of ill-health in terms of working days lost and worklessness is over £100 billion – equivalent to the annual running costs of the NHS.

Ingeus is a leading provider of private welfare-to-work services that support unemployed people, including those with health-related issues, into suitable, lasting work. As part of the Government’s aim to improve the health and well-being of the working-age population, Ingeus delivers Fit for Work – a service that supports employed people who are struggling to manage their health condition at work, and those in the early stages of sickness absence so they can return to work more quickly than they otherwise would.

As a Case Manager on the Fit for Work programme, you will be required to:

  • Carry out bio-psychosocial assessments for each client who is assigned to you

  • Produce tailored plans for each client which focus on improving their health and returning to work

  • Offer advice and education about clients’ health conditions, where appropriate

  • Provide guidance about clients’ working duties and offer support as required

  • Refer clients to appropriate specialist services, agencies and organisations.

  • You will be a Psychologist who will work with clients via telephone and face-to-face consultations, and provide further ongoing support. Experience of working in occupational health, condition management, mental health or use of proven evidence-based psychological techniques such as CBT, motivational interviewing or solution-focused therapy are all desirable but not essential, as training is provided.

Ingeus is an equal opportunities employer.
